Yin + Yang
Service Description
Yin Yoga's passive stretching targets the connective tissues. Connective tissues include tendons, ligaments, and fascia and they cushion, protect, nourish, anchor, separate, and assist with movement for all body parts. --------------------- Yin Yoga shapes are usually held for several minutes. Connective tissues need more time to stretch than muscles due to having a smaller blood supply and less elasticity. --------------------- Yin Yoga provides many opportunities for deep breathwork and meditation. This practice honors our mind, body, and spirit by cultivating mindfulness, emotional relaxation, resilience, perseverance, flexibility and mobility. --------------------- Yang Yoga includes dynamic movements in continuous sequences, and positions are held for shorter periods than Yin Yoga. This practice honors our mind, body, and spirit by uplifting our spirit, energizing our mind, increasing attention and concentration, increasing relaxation, and improving circulation, balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance in our body. --------------------- Yin + Yang Yoga is a combination of cooling Yin Yoga and energizing Yang Yoga positions. It is designed to cultivate mental and physical balance by using breathwork to connect the mind and the body, as well as foster mindfulness and harmony between the mind, body, and spirit. Yin + Yang Yoga is appropriate for all levels, and it incorporates props (e.g., blankets, blocks, straps) to increase the accessibility of all positions.
